Range Rover has introduced its inaugural fully electric SUV in the UK, priced from £154,070, with the option to place orders now. Deliveries to customers are anticipated to commence in 2027. This marks a significant milestone for Jaguar Land Rover as it advances toward an electrified future, with the Range Rover Electric being produced at the company’s Solihull plant in the UK.

The luxury SUV features a dual electric motor setup, capable of delivering up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque. It boasts an acceleration capability from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, coupled with a driving range of up to 372 miles as per the WLTP testing cycle. The vehicle’s 118.5kWh battery is designed to support 800-volt charging, enabling rapid charging from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes when conditions are optimal.

While the Range Rover Electric embraces an electric powertrain, it continues to embody the brand’s signature luxury and off-road prowess. The SUV is equipped to navigate water depths of up to 900mm, maintaining its robust capabilities. Enhanced aerodynamic features complement its electric design, merging innovation with Range Rover’s traditional styling.

The development and testing of the Range Rover Electric span several years, underscoring Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to quality and performance in its electric transition. The Wolverhampton facility, integral to this shift, will supply essential components by producing battery packs and electric drive units for the new model.
